Has Your Family Income Been Verified in PPP or Is It Still Pending? Check Like This
You can tell whether your family income in PPP is verified or still pending without asking anyone else — open your own Family ID record and read three signals together. If the income field is shown as Verified and is locked against direct editing, verification is complete and that figure is the one benefits are read from. If the income still sits as your self-declared figure, the field has not been locked as Verified, or a Correction or Grievance ticket you filed is still open, the case is still in the pending side of the system. No single rumour or message replaces those three signals in your own record.
Check them in the order below, and write down what you see before you take any next step.
To see the income figure itself, follow the step-by-step method in our guide on how to check income in Family ID online.
Signal One: Open the Record the Official Way
Start only on the official Mera Parivar portal, meraparivar.haryana.gov.in.
Use Citizen Corner and Update Family Details. If you know your Family ID, search with it; if you do not, use the Aadhaar route the portal offers. In self-update mode an OTP is sent to the mobile number of the Head of Family, and only after that authentication does your family record open. If you do not have that mobile with you, use assisted mode instead — a CSC, SARAL Kendra or PPP Operator, or an Atal Seva Kendra or SARAL Kendra, can open and show the same record on your behalf.
Once the record is open, go straight to the income detail. Do not judge the status from the home screen, from an old printout, or from a benefit message. Status lives on the field itself, so that is where this check happens.
Signal Two: Is the Income Field Marked Verified and Locked?
This is the clearest signal the official citizen information gives.
PPP verifies family data continuously, electronically and through field verification where necessary. The citizen information states the result in plain terms: once such verification is completed, the field is treated as Verified, and fields which are already verified in PPP cannot be edited.
Read your income field against that rule:
- Verified: the income shows with its verification completed and the field does not allow direct editing. That lock is not an error. It is the system telling you this figure has passed verification and is now the settled figure in the record.
- Still pending: the income you see is still the self-declared figure awaiting or undergoing checking, and the field has not yet been closed as Verified. A figure can look correct on screen and still be pending — correctness and verification are two different things.
Note the exact annual income shown and whether the Verified position applies to it. Keep that note with the date you checked. If you later file or follow a case, those two details — figure and status on a known date — are what every counter will ask for first.

Signal Three: Which Checking Lane Is Your Income In?
A pending income is not stuck in one place. The Haryana Government’s reply to the Legislative Assembly describes several checking lanes running in parallel, and knowing them explains why two neighbours can be verified at different speeds.
For many families, checking is electronic first. The reply lists online checks against Income Tax Returns of the last three years through the Central Board of Direct Taxes, service records through the Human Resources Management System for State Government, Board and Corporation employees, records of retired pensioners, records of contractual employees, private-sector labour wage data held through the Haryana Labour Welfare Board cess system, payments to farmers for crop procurement on e-Kharid, and annual electricity consumption obtained from the electricity utilities, from which income is estimated.
Alongside those lanes, income is also verified by Local Committees of five members — a Team Lead who is a Government employee, a local computer operator, a local volunteer, a social worker and a student. Each member assesses independently, and the final verified income is based on a logic-based system combining those assessments.
So a pending status usually means one of two ordinary things: the electronic cross-checks have not yet settled into a final figure for your family, or your case is with the committee lane and the independent assessments have not yet produced the settled verified income. The NIC Haryana official page puts the scale in context — more than 73 lakh of over 76 lakh registered families had been verified through this cross-checking — which is why most records do settle, but not all on the same day.
Do not try to guess which lane is holding your case from outside. The portal record and, where you have filed one, the ticket status are the only reliable windows into it.
Signal Four: Do You Have an Open Ticket That Keeps It Pending?
Many families who think their income is simply pending are actually in a second, separate pending: a contest they filed themselves.
If you have used Correction or Grievance to challenge an income, that case has its own life. Under the CRID grievance guide, filing is validated with your PPP ID or Aadhaar ID and an OTP to the registered or Head of Family mobile, and submission generates a ticket ID with an SMS confirmation carrying the date, time and tracking ID. You follow that case through Add/view Grievance.
Check this before you conclude anything:
- Find the ticket ID and confirmation SMS from your filing, if you filed.
- Open Add/view Grievance and read the ticket’s current position.
- If the ticket is still open, your income position is still under review through that case — even if the main record already shows a Verified figure, because a challenge to a Local Committee-assessed income is routed onward to a higher Sector Committee for decision.
If you never filed a contest and hold no ticket, there is no hidden case. Your position is decided by Signals Two and Three alone: either the field is Verified, or verification itself is still pending.
What to Do With Each Result
If your income is Verified and the figure is right: do nothing to the income field. It is locked by design. Keep your dated note of the figure and status, and use that verified record when you check any linked benefit.
If your income is Verified but the figure is wrong: do not look for an edit option — a verified field cannot be edited directly, and only a one-time change is allowed after you sign and upload the PPP document. The route for a wrong verified figure is to contest it through Correction or Grievance, service by service with supportive documents, and keep the ticket ID the filing generates.
If your income is still pending and you have filed nothing: wait on the record, not on messages. Recheck the same field after an interval through the same official route, and use assisted help at a CSC, SARAL Kendra or Atal Seva Kendra if you cannot complete the OTP step at home. Pending verification by itself is not a rejection, and filing a grievance about a figure that has not yet been verified does not speed up the lanes described above.
In all three results, one habit protects you: never pay anyone who promises to flip a pending income to verified from outside this system. Verification moves only through the electronic checks, the committees, and the Correction or Grievance routing the official sources describe.

Conclusion
Verified or pending is not a matter of opinion — it is written on your own PPP record. Open the record through the official portal with Head of Family OTP authentication or through assisted help, read whether the income field is treated as Verified and locked, remember which electronic and committee lanes a pending figure is still passing through, and check whether an open Correction or Grievance ticket is keeping your case under review. A family that reads those signals directly always knows its true position, and knows whether the right next step is to leave the record alone, to contest a wrong verified figure, or simply to recheck while verification completes.
FAQs
1. My income amount looks correct on screen. Does that mean it is verified?
Not by itself. A correct-looking figure can still be the self-declared figure awaiting settlement. Verification is complete only when the field is treated as Verified under the citizen information rule — the stage at which the field also stops allowing direct editing. Always read the status of the field, not just the amount.
2. Why is my neighbour’s income verified while mine, filed around the same time, is still pending?
Because families pass through different checking lanes. A salary or pension record may settle through an electronic HRMS or pensioner check, while another family’s figure depends on e-Kharid payments, electricity-based estimation, or the five-member Local Committee’s independent assessments combined through the logic-based system. Different lanes finish at different times for the same street.
3. The income field will not let me edit it. Has something gone wrong?
No — that lock is the expected sign of completion. The official citizen information says a field whose verification is completed is treated as Verified and cannot be edited. If the locked figure itself is wrong, the remedy is a Correction or Grievance contest, not repeated attempts to edit the field.
4. I filed a grievance about my income months ago. Should I check the main record or the ticket to know my status?
Check both, in that order of importance for the case: the ticket through Add/view Grievance, using the ticket ID and the confirmation SMS with its date, time and tracking ID, tells you whether the contest itself is still open; the main record tells you whether the verified figure has actually changed as a result. An open ticket with an unchanged record means the review — including Sector Committee routing where it applies — is still pending.
5. Is there an official last date by which every pending income will be verified?
No such single last date is stated in the official sources used for this article. The sources describe a continuous process — electronic verification and field verification where necessary, across more than 76 lakh registered families — rather than a one-day deadline. Judge your own case by your record’s Verified position and any open ticket, not by a date circulating outside the official portal.
